Review of Men In Training by Lisa Bishop As an initial work by a new author, Men In Training by Karinthia is a delightful short story anthology brimming with sadistic females eagerly longing to take the males who crave them in their wake. Using all mediums, from phone sex to a chat format to traditional erotica, Karinthia lures the reader into her deceptions of the wanton male submissives, unsuspecting of their Mistresses' actions or desires. With her imaginative and well-plotted scenes in "The White Knight", Karinthia develops a devilish maiden domme with an alter ego that transforms a man of honor into her slave, willing to give himself freely to her and the alter ego whom he believes is another individual entirely. The interesting settings, from the objectification of a submissive in "Homemade Bondage Furniture" where the submissive turned table is used by the guests of the party; to the voyeuristic repairman at the gym who gets his own "dues" that evening, demonstrate the painstaking effort to make her stories page turners. By far, my most favorite of the sadistic dommes was that of the robot in "Domme-In-A-Box". Already programmed with her customer's kinks, this robot will not let up on the one who purchased her. No, in fact, she's out to give him 'just what he ordered'. While the whole concept of this robotic domme is brilliant, Karinthia's depiction of each Mistress created is a delicious and devious creature, like that of Professor Chance in "The Nice Guy", to the petite Donna in "Traditional", who is determined to get her way and teach her husband a lesson he won't likely forget. While I have never been a fan of second person erotica, I found both "The Country Drive Monologue" and the "The Phone Call", very tastefully done, very inspiring and could be read to frustrate a naughty submissive as a bedtime story.
