Erotic Nipple Clamp Play

Ohh nipples. Got to love them, right? Everybody has them and if there’s something we can all agree to, is that they are a very sensitive area of the body (hehe). That is probably what makes them such a huge part of role-play and sex in general. Whether they are being licked or touched or kissed or______, every one has a favorite thing to do to them (or being done to them, wink*) But although all those things are very nice (ok, extremely nice wink*) there are moments you want to take it to the next level. Maybe you want to try something different, or something a little more stimulating. And here is when nipple clamps come to play.

Clamps kind of work as a blood vacuum and by trapping the flesh of the nipple; when you
take them off, the sensitivity in them increases as the blood goes back to the area. And well, using them intensifies the awareness of that erogenous zone, so you can add that to the plus list, wink*. Usually playing with nipple clamps is referred as nipple play; like I said above, they are a great way to increase sensibility to an already sensitive zone. On the other hand, nipple clamps are also a great way to introduce nipple torture. Nipple torture benefits from amplified sensitivity, using feathers, pinwheels and other devices to mildly torture someone’s nipple (while bringing pleasure, of course!)

As you can see, they can be used for both torture and pleasure (or a little bit of both!) but before you start using them there are some things you need to know about and some safety points you need to keep in mind. As I mentioned, clamps cut off circulation and as you probably know with everything that cuts off circulation, you need to be very careful with it. To begin with, you should not leave them on for extended periods of time. You should also know this increased sensitivity can last a few minutes, hours or even days, so don’t be scared if it does not go right away. Now, is my duty to warn you the first time it may hurt (again, as with many firsts, wink*), but the more you get used to it, the more you will find it enjoyable. I would say the “worst part” is when you take them off, but it’s not so bad because this is also the more intense portion; you really need to experience it to really understand it, though wink*. Besides, you can always ask your partner to help with the discomfort, by having them massaged, licked or kissed. I’m sure they will be more than happy to help, you poor thing wink*. Lastly, and as a general rule, neophytes to the practice should probably aim for 10 minutes with them; as you continue to use them more you will probably find spending more time with them comfortable. But I would say longer than 20 minutes, even for the experienced, should probably be enough. Keep in mind to alleviate the pressure every once in a while to allow the blood flow. And remember the always-useful tip: supervise any possible reactions in the wearer and be mindful of any changes in color or swelling.

When you are ready to use them, you should first get the nipple erect (fun preparation, right?) In order to do so, gently rub them or pinch them; you do this for the clamp to have something more to grab on. Then you can take the nipple and pull it forward, putting the clamp on the areola. Now you are ready to play with your little pleasure bud!  Even the gentlest of feather touches will be amplified; try that or maybe some kisses or pinching, even sucking on the nipple.

Now, the fun part comes when you have to take it off. Some people prefer taking the clamp off slowly, but others enjoy pulling it out fast more enjoyable, again it will all depend on a little experimenting to see what the person likes, wink*

So, once again, here are a few safety things you should know before you take the plunge:

  • Beginners should start with adjustable clamps.
  • Gradually increase the time using the clamps; it’s better to build up on the time instead of putting them on for longer periods.
  • If the nipples change color or swell, take the clamps off right away.
  • Take off the clamps every 20 minutes to allow blood flow and be mindful of any changes in circulation.
  • Don’t leave the clamps on for extended periods of time.
  • Clean the clamps often, especially if you are using them on multiple people. You can use water and soap or some toy cleaner lotion.
