How to use your Vibrator

Getting a vibrator for the first time can be something of a big deal (as such first things are wink*), and you may have some anxiety about how to proceed next. The good news is you won’t have anything to worry about, vibrators are only meant to enhance a sexual experience with a partner or experience a little solo time with yourself, enjoying your own sexuality. Here are some tips to help you enjoy the experience, either alone or with someone else (I’m sure you will have a great time either way):

Let’ start with some shared used, shall we?

  • Once you are both on the same page as far as giving vibrators a try in the bedroom, you can begin to think about them as foreplay. You guys will need to experiment to see what it is you both enjoy and like the best. You can begin testing the different speeds and settings of the toy, testing them on other body parts (don’t go all the way at first! Warm up a little, wink*). Once you are comfortable with a setting and sensations, you can start to explore more erogenous areas. Communication here will be key, don’t be afraid to speak up about what you are enjoying what are you not enjoying. The experimenting and trying out things is the best part, wink*.
  • During penetration, you can press the vibrator against your clitoris. This way you will be getting the best of both worlds, penetration and stimulation of the clit. Or maybe you can switch it up? Insert and thrust the vibrator while your partner stimulates the clitoris, whether with their tongue or their hands. Both feel amazing, if you ask me, wink*.

For those playing solo:

  • First, make sure to get this time for you. No interruptions allowed here. Get yourself comfortable; you can start with some things that turn you on, like music or porn. Set the mood to whatever makes you feel sexy and ready to go at it.
  • Start by preparing the erogenous zones with your fingers first. This way, your body will get used to the sensations when the stronger buzz of the vibrator comes into play. Besides, a little hand stimulation never hurt anybody, right? You can touch your breasts, nipples, neck, pubic bone, clitoris, labia… Basically anything that you like and turns you on. Remember this is all about feeling good.
  • When you are ready, run the vibrator over less sensitive areas. Start with exploring the different speeds and setting and test those levels, familiarizing with them. You can do this against your hand or forearm; the idea is to get to know your little joy toy (like dating, wink*).
  • Afterwards, put it on low and situate it on more sensitive areas, like the inner thighs or vaginal lips. Let your body respond to these kind of stimulations before pumping up the speed and moving to other areas. Then, you can start to increase the level and move to other parts of the body.
  • Apply pressure to your clitoris or other erogenous zones if you desire. You can change and vary the speed or setting of your toy, the idea here is to find what feels the best for you. Let the sensations overcome and over power your body.

If your thing is penetration, you could also insert the vibrator in your vagina, simulating sexual intercourse with the little extra buzz, wink*. Put the vibrator on low and slowly insert it in, remembering this should be done after you are sufficiently turned or with the help of some lubrication. Move the vibrator around and in and out, locating your G-spot. And don’t forget about your clit! (Never do, please wink*) Let the build up begin and let arousal to take over. The idea is for you to find what feels best for you during the process.

Remember to keep experimenting until you find the technique you like the best, a vibrating toy is a wonderful addition to one’s life. And keep in mind, practice makes perfect.
