Please tell us a little bit about yourself – How would you describe your everyday vanilla life?
I work in operations management, and when I'm not bossing my staff around (we love each other), I'm either hiking or playing with my adorable puppies.
When did you first realize you were into bondage?
I've been into Bondage as long as I can remember, which took a sexual twist as soon as I hit puberty. I used to imagine myself into movies and books where a character was bound and gagged.
How you best describe yourself and why? Your choices are: Dominant, Submissive, Switch or Fuzzy Rainbow Unicorn.
I'm actually an alpha submissive- a little different from the typical subbie. I like to submit physically but not mentally- forced play is more my style. I've also got switch tenancies, but more for spicing up what would eventually become my partner's revenge.
Do you feel that your desire for bondage is more physical or emotional? (please elaborate)
Mine is completely physical. I compartmentalize play, which is very important especially when engaging in force play. There is no emotional component which allows me to indulge in trying things that might not turn out as amazing as we think they might without becoming scarred.
What does BDSM mean to you: is it a lifestyle, a diversion, or something else?
BDSM is a satisfying indulgence and a relaxing escape from my everyday responsibilities.
Were lovers accepting of your interest in bondage?
Every man has tried it, most loved it. Force play is different and not all have been comfortable with it.
Please briefly describe your first bondage experience.
I had a 'sensual Dom' show me the ropes. He was very good at getting me revved up without much other than a scarf, some tape and his body. Light bondage, light spanking and basic instruction. I had such an incredible experience I knew it was my thing.
What was your best bondage experience?
The first time I got to drive. I stated a session by tying down my partner and teasing him for about an hour, as was the agreement. What I didn't plan on was him becoming so excited that he escaped the ties (I was easy on him, the first time) and then took me forcefully. It was explosive for both of us.
What is the most creative safeword you have ever used?
I absolutely love gags, so I've never actually had a safe word. We use hand signals or dropping a ball.
What do you feel is most important about the experience of bondage?
The communication and trust. That cannot be advocated enough- constant and productive communication, especially if you are a sub, is absolutely necessary. The Dom is not always right nor should he have complete and final say. It's supposed to be equally fun for both partners.
What is the best advice you would give to someone just starting out with BDSM?
Be open! Be honest! And always yet new things.
What is your favorite gear, toy or lingerie item from sub-shop.com and why?
I have gotten two simple leather ball gags, white with magenta balls. These are the BEST ball gags out there. I really live sealing gags, so I also have a panel gag trainer that is a favorite for my more advanced partners. I also love the scolds bridle for long term play because it is so sexy and comfortable.
What is the one sensual fantasy you haven’t lived out yet that you are excited to try?
I'm excited to get more into mummification. I've done a lot of hard core play and since having found a potential life partner, I'm interested in incorporating more emotion into bondage play.
Safe, fun and consensual- and don't forget to communicate!
