Why Jute rope? Jute rope is favored because it's light weight yet has a lot of "grip," meaning it's easy to tie and stays tied. The fibers can be scratchy at first, but it wears out nicely to a comfortable, slightly hairy feel after a few uses. You can also put it in an old pillow case to wash it to help soften it further. A quick wash also helps remove some of the "new" smell as jute rope is conditioned with Jute Batching Oil to make the fibers last so long, but it has a kerosene like smell. Just dry it and you'll have a clean, soft rope with no offensive odor to turn you off.

You'll want to get several lengths for all the tie ups you want to do like full-body bondage, body harnesses, practicing your Shibari-style rope bondage play. Of course, the ankles, knees, wrists, arms and breast bondage we all love so much.

The ends are sealed with tape so it won't unravel. But if you cut this rope into smaller lengths, be sure to wrap a good tape, like our World's Best Gag Tape (offered in 11 colors!), around it first where you want to make the cut then snip in the middle of the tape.
