Please tell us a little bit about yourself – How would you describe your everyday vanilla life?

I’m married and I’m 36 years old. By day I am a computer systems administrator. By night I am a musician.

When did you first realize you were into bondage?

Growing up I noticed that when I was watching TV or movies I would always get excited when women were tied up, especially when they were gagged. There was always just something about it that aroused me

How you best describe yourself and why? Your choices are: Dominant, Submissive, Switch or Fuzzy Rainbow Unicorn.

Switch. My wife and I both like to take turns in the dominant role.

Do you feel that your desire for bondage is more physical or emotional? (please elaborate)

I believe its a little bit of both. I find that in the moment things are very physical and carnal however the next time we make love, just her and I without toys, there is a stronger connection

Were lovers accepting of your interest in bondage?

Yes although we eased into it slowly over time. Once I finally worked up the courage to talk about it with my wife, we started out using some of the beginner toys: some soft rope, a small silicone ball gag, and maybe some padded cuffs. Beyond that, we would discuss what our desires were and then purchased new toys together.

Please briefly describe your first bondage experience.

Used some old pantyhose as tie downs along with some panties as a gag.

What do you feel is most important about the experience of bondage?

I am firm believer in the adage "The couple that plays together says together”. Whether it be bondage or something else, in a relationship it’s important to keep things interesting and not allow one of the things that brought you together to become commonplace. Specifically with bondage the feeling of either total control or total submission is a wonderful way to escape the drudgery of everyday life.

What is the best advice you would give to someone just starting out with BDSM?

Take things slow and be completely open and honest both with your partner and more importantly, yourself.
