Please tell us a little bit about yourself – How would you describe your everyday vanilla life?
I am a video editing student at a university in Wisconsin who loves video games and making content based around them. My game library is pretty vast but I'm really into Overwatch and Hearthstone as of late.
When did you first realize you were into bondage?
I was just entering high school, and being the age that I was: started to do "research" before I would go to sleep. I started to gravitate towards the "damsel in distress" genre, but I couldn't put my finger on why that style of "research" made me feel good. I asked my current girlfriend at the time if she was interested in trying some of the things I was seeing, she agreed but I later found out it was only to impress me and not because she wanted to. That relationship in it's whole was very unhealthy and left a scar on me emotionally that I'm not sure has even fully healed. My current relationship started 2 months after I ended the one previously mentioned and it's been way healthier than I knew relationships could be. They (gender non-binary) have taught me that I can feel however I want to without worrying about what other think when it comes to private maters. It's been close to four years now and I couldn't be happier with them.
How you best describe yourself and why? Your choices are: Dominant, Submissive, Switch or Fuzzy Rainbow Unicorn.
I am a submissive. The level of bliss that I feel when I get "wrapped up" by my partner is what I live for some days, and the level of trust we share between each other makes it feel safe even when I get a particularly rough "punishment" ;)
Do you feel that your desire for bondage is more physical or emotional? (please elaborate)
For me its a little of both. For one I love the physical feeling of being bound and gagged. With my partner I know I'm safe when asking for BDSM related things because I trust they know what I need and in what they can do for me. Emotionally, Bondage feels like a workout after a stressful week. I always walk away from a session relaxed and confident in my life. When I start to feel small and shitty, I just tell my partner and they help me get back on my feet by tying them together. :)
Were lovers accepting of your interest in bondage?
The first one really wasn't. At the time I was a self-proclaimed switch and did what I could to show that and make sure it was okay for us. As I said before that wasn't really the case for her, she was just trying to impress me and never felt truly comfortable with bondage despite never telling me that. My current lover is fricken' great. We're so kinky together and I love it. We try new things together all the time and they love being my dom (especially when I buy them new things to use off of sub-shop!).
Please briefly describe your first bondage experience.
My very first bondage experience might have been self bondage if I'm remembering correctly. Using some lanyards and small rope that I happened to find in my room, I did a bit of real world "research" on my own.
What was your best bondage experience?
My best bondage experience (without gushing out the details, despite me wanting to ;) , was when my partner and I went on a trip to a cottage my family owns in Canada by ourselves. We stopped at two hotels, one on the way there and one on the way back where we had the most intense sessions using the most gear that I remember us ever using. Ugh, just remembering it makes me smile and squirm. <3
What is the most creative safeword you have ever used?
Green, yellow, red. .... Our creativity goes into the rest of the scene, okay?!
What do you feel is most important about the experience of bondage?
The feeling of complete trust towards your partner, without that I worry about even calling that Bondage.
What is the best advice you would give to someone just starting out with BDSM?
Do safety research first, with that baseline you can get experimental in your positions, ties, and usage of gear. Listen to your partner and make sure your partner listens to you. Communication is key in any relationship and I feel that way tenfold for Bondage. Also keep an eye on the sales on Sub-shop, I got a straitjacket for 40$ when its normally over 100$. #NotSponsoredButICouldBe
What is your favorite gear, toy or lingerie item from sub-shop.com and why?
I have a tie (pun probably intended) between "Pure Desire White Leather Ballgag Trainer, Gloss Black Ball" and my set of "Not So Innocent Leather Wrist Cuffs, Collar and Ankle Cuffs". They all match, for one, and they're versatile too! The cuffs and collar allow for almost limitless creativity in bondage and the gag keeps me quiet when I wouldn't be otherwise. ;)
What is the one sensual fantasy you haven’t lived out yet that you are excited to try?
Wearing the straitjacket I bought a while back for a session. Both my partner and I have been extremely busy now that we're back at college, and we haven't had a session in a few weeks. :(

What is Eskimo ice?
Let me do a Google search here really quick..doo-do-doo..Well I get a bunch of Eskimo ice fishing sites, and an urban dictionary search has no results. The Smithsonian has an article on "eskimo ice cream" that says "Indigenous cultures of Alaska have enjoyed the frozen treat known as akutuq for many centuries. An Inupiaq word meaning “to stir,” akutuq traditionally consists of animal fat mixed with seal oil, whipped together with handfuls of berries and freshly fallen snow to make a frothy, frozen concoction." Sounds interesting.
