Basic Self Bondage Rope Ties You'll Love to Try

If you are curious about self bondage but don’t know where to start, this is for you (I’m a mind reader). Keep in mind safety it’s first and should always have a pair of scissors or a knife near you to get out. You can do this with ropes about 6/8mm width; the thinner ones can dig on the skin. And only use rope, no scarves or something like that. If it’s your first time, I recommend trying it first on your ankles to get familiarized with it, instead of your wrists.

So, to begin with, make a double ring at the center of the rope, just wide enough that you can put both hands through. Make a double knot to secure it and wrap the left ends around those coils; one between your wrist and one from each side. Finish with one knot, pull it tight and secure it with a second knot. Remember, the tighter it is, the harder it will be to get out of it. The knot will probably be between your wrists, if you cant reach it, just pull both ends of the rope (if you only pull one you will make it tighter) until you make it loose enough to open it. If you can’t, use scissors.

For the other one, tie a small ring at one end of the rope. You should be able to get both of your hands through, so do so accordingly. Pass your hands through it and wrap the rope once or twice between your wrists, around the ring. You will have to pull the rope tight, as long as you do it, you wont be able to separate your wrists. When that is tackled, put one wrap of the rope around each wrist and pull tight. This can be quite hard, but you what they say, practice makes the master. The wraps have to be in a way that the rope that is going out, will be crossed by the wrap. When you run out of the rope (it will happen eventually!) you are finished. If you leave the ends long, it won’t come out on itself. Now, while this will be tight you shouldn’t have trouble getting out. When you want to get out, grab one loop on the other hand at a time and pull it off. You should start with the first loop; they are all stacked on each other, so the order should be easy. However, if you are having trouble finding the first coil, pull one after the other till you find one that can widen (that is the top one). Tip: it’s easier to this if you remember the wrist that has the last coil.

For this one, you can start as you would with the one above, but instead of tying a knot to secure the loops, you slide your hands into the loops from one side each. Put them into a cross position, that means both hands facing the same way. Then, pull on the ends to make them tighter, one on each hand. When you are done, wrap each rope’s end around both wrists; do it several times; those first loops will cause the wrists to never be parallel. You can tie those ends together with a knot and pull, wriggle and pull again, and do that several times. The friction between the ropes will make the knot stay in place. When you are happy with how tight it is, make a second knot that doesn’t touch the first one. Close it till it’s almost above the first one and tug both ends of the rope apart as strong as you can. This will secure the knots, but remember the tighter you tug, the tighter it will. When you want out, use something like a handle between it to create space between the loops.

Now, remember to never panic if you can’t get out of the bondage. Slowly and calmly try to do it, and remember that you always have scissors or a knife. Freaking out does more harm than good. And never make the ropes too tight. If you can feel your fingers going numb, you went too far and should loosen it immediately. Restricting blood flow is not a part of this… and is never fun.
