When it comes to your bedroom, women definitely expect clean sheets. You don’t need to have freshly cleaned sheets. But by all means please don’t have any stained or dirty sheets laying around. Oh! Remember to make your bed before you go out with her. I know sometimes we don’t make our bed (it happens to the best of us) but if you think there is any chance of bringing someone home after your date, do make an effort to make your bed and tidy up any clothes on the floor.

Many women also pay close attention to your fridge. Now, this is not as if your mother would be inspecting what you have, to see if you are properly feeding yourself. But women definitely do notice what you have in there. You don’t have to be the poster child of clean organic, prime range, 100% natural groceries. But she may judge you a bit on if there are a bunch of moldy leftovers and some expired food inside it.

Speaking about cleanliness, women also tend to focus on the little details such as how clean your house is. While a clean and spotless house is not necessary for most women (unless you’re Monica from Friends), basic hygiene is expected, especially around the key places. So, clean sheets in the bedroom, a clean kitchen and a clean bathroom.

The bathroom has a special mention here because nobody likes a dirty bathroom under any circumstance. A clean toilet is basic. If it’s dirty, your lady will definitely notice and you can bet it will create a bad impression on her. Since we are at it, remember to have soap, towels and toilet paper around. Nothing is more awkward than going to someone else’s bathroom and not finding any toilet paper. Be nice to your lady guest! (In fact to any guest you may have)

Now, let’s talk about towels as well. As a rule, you should have several clean towels around. Imagine this, you showered and used a towel, then your partner asks you for a towel because they want to shower too but you realize you don’t have another one. You obviously won’t give them the one you have just used, for this reason, you should always have at least a couple of extra towels, just in case. Remember to keep them clean because nobody wants to use a smelly, moldy towel!

If you have pictures around your living room and bedroom, you can be certain she will take notice of these. No doubt, she will ask you more about them, especially if they are from past vacations, with family or friends. It is not only pictures they pay attention to, but memories of past girlfriends as well. It is quite rude to leave things of previous hook ups or partners for them to see. If you have any female undergarments, clothes, jewelry, or even a toothbrush or make up, please get rid of them before inviting someone over. This could lead them to believe you are not totally over your previous partner or worse, she might think you are a bit of a player. So, unless you are both clear this is a one-night thing or something casual, then you should be careful.
