Please tell us a little bit about yourself – How would you describe your everyday vanilla life?

When I'm not at work, I'm either working on my house for my wife and our kids or I'm working on one of our many vehicles.

How you best describe yourself? Your choices are: Dominant, Submissive, Switch or FuzzyRainbow Unicorn. Please explain your choice.

Call me Nintendo, because I'm definitely a Switch LOL.

What does BDSM mean to you: is it a lifestyle, a diversion, or something else?

To me BDSM is something that is at my core, I can't wake up without wanting to tie up my wife or wanting to have her tie me up and be exceptionally dominant towards me.

Do you feel that your desire for bondage is more physical or emotional? (please elaborate)

It’s definitely more emotional, BDSM makes a different kind of bond (no pun intended) between the Dom/Sub/Switch than what plain vanilla sex does. BDSM truly takes away all barriers between whoever is involved and (if you’re truly involve with the other person(s)) you feel at one with them, almost like you can feel both of your core persons coming together as one entity.

How do you feel about the Fifty Shades phenomenon?

I personally feel like 50 shades is a vanilla version of bondage, anybody I've ever come across that was excited by what they read or watched in 50 shades never had the thought process for BDSM in the first place.

What is the best advice you would give to someone just starting out with BDSM?

Probably the same advice I would give to anybody asking for advice about sex, don’t just jump into it, and definitely don’t do it with just anybody. The bonds you make form sex you will never be able to break and BDSM creates a stronger link than that, make sure you take it slow and your partner and you have a strong understanding of each other and what your bounds are, create safe words and don’t be afraid to say "no" or "not yet". You partner should always have your interests in mind, even more so than his/her own. Aside from that, enjoy because you'll be in for an exceptionally fun and adventurous ride.

What is your favorite gear, toy or lingerie item from Sub-Shop.com and why?

It's a hard toss-up between a mice ball gag with a metal ball or a foxtail butt plug, both are a staple in my repertoire and never lack in the excitement department.
