BDSM Puppy Play FAQ About Your Best Friend

As I’m definitely sure you are interested in puppy play, I’m equally sure you must have some questions. It’s ok, we all get them wink*. So I’ve compiled some of the most common ones in one place so you can get better acquainted with it wink*.

As you may know, puppy play is a form of pet play. In this subcategory, a person will behave and act like a puppy. The other part of the couple, usually the dominant, will be the proud owner of a puppy wink*. It can include sexual play as well, but for some couples, it’s strictly play behavior without anything sexual…are you surprised? The thing about puppy headspace is the person will have to think and act like a puppy and in order to do so, they will need to let instinct take over and get rid of human thoughts.

People love to act like a puppy because it allows them to roam free and be friendly, careless and playful…like a puppy! (duh! Wink*) But keep in mind sometimes the owner will have to intervene and put some order into them. Besides of training them how to behave, of course. The handler will be the one taking care of the puppy; alternatively they can either be referred as master or trainer if they are teaching tricks and behavior to the pup.

Dogs it’s the term used to refer to those who want to focus on that persona; walking in four legs, barking and being independent. The pups are those who get into the “dog headspace” and think like a puppy (they probably want lots of attention). On the other hand, alphas are more dominating and aggressive puppies, just like an alpha wolf wink*.

Some people enjoy the humiliation that can come with puppy play, but that is not always the case. If you enjoy humiliation, you can absolutely do so when you are in puppy play. But if you don’t want to, there is no reason why it should be included in the sessions. Keep in mind you generally treat your pup as you would treat a biological real life puppy, so you wouldn’t use hard punishments or hit them too hard.

For you to fully get into the scene, you want to use a collar for your pup. It is necessary in order for them to wear a leash…and they look great wink*. You can also get some mitts for them not to hurt their “paws” (and protect the hands from being on the floor); and also some kneepads to make play more comfortable. A hood or muzzle can also be a good idea to remind your pup it shouldn’t speak (dogs don’t talk!) and to make it more dog like. Your pup will also need toys for them to chase and play (don’t use real dog toys, they may be too hard for human teeth!) and a bowl for them to eat and drink (don’t feed them real dog food! You can always imitate that food with real human food) Now, go and treat your beautiful puppy with love and care wink*.
