Autumn's Bondage 101: Get the Right Spanking Tool for the Job

You know how the saying goes, different spanks, different tools…isn’t that the way it goes? Wink*. There is a variety of equipment you can use and each and every one of them will create a different spanking, so choose carefully wink*:

• The hand is probably the most common and popular. It’s probably the softest and less painful one out of the bunch and it will create kind of a “thud”. It doesn’t leave bruises or welts and it provides a good stimulation for the nerves.

• On the other hand, paddles are one of the softest instruments in the long-range category. But don’t be fooled, they can cause considerable damage and pain. The sensation will be similar to being spanked by a hand, but a lot more intense and harder, of course.
  

• If you want to cause a lot of pain, a strap is a good choice. This tool is a heavy piece of leather easily controlled with a handle. But it’s really painful, so you have to be very carefully with them.

• Floggers have several thick tails usually made out of leather and will provide an intense pain every time you get hit. Floggers leave quite a mark on the skin but you never know exactly what it will be because the marks vary depending on the movement you use. If you’re a beginner, its best to stick with think and round tails, by the way.

• If you are looking for something like a flogger that causes the skin to turn red, a tawse may be the answer. It is a thick strip of leather split with several tails. They come in different sizes and lengths, so do your research before getting one.
  

• Canes deliver sharp, intense and stingy pain and leave marks and bruises on the skin. When you use one, make sure to do so by the lower end and not the tip to lessen the risk of injury and be more specific with the area you want to hit. You should be extremely careful with them because you can cause a lot of damage and that is never the idea, right? Wink*.

• You should also be careful with riding crops because even the smallest touch with one of these can cause bruising and red marks. But they do make a very appealing sound when you are swinging them up in the air…

• Whips are multi functional because you can also use them as a directional tool to guide your sub. The tail provides a real sting and leaves the skin nice and pink (or red). Before using one, it’s a good idea to practice one before diving into your partner’s skin.
