Please tell us a little bit about yourself – How would you describe your everyday vanilla life?

Mundane. I play games, watch Netflix, hang out with my dogs and I am a full time student.

Switch by nature, but in my relationship I play the role of Dominant because my partner is submissive.

When did you first realize you were into bondage?

When I got with my wife (about 4 years ago).

Do you feel that your desire for bondage is more physical or emotional? (please elaborate)

Emotional. Physical doesn't ever really mean much to me. But, the deep trust and vulnerable nature of the activities is important. If it was just physical sensations, it would not appeal.

What does BDSM mean to you: is it a lifestyle, a diversion, or something else?

A hobby, mostly. But my wife is more into it, with rarely having desire that is more vanilla.

Can you describe your first bondage experience?

Unpleasant. I was with my ex and he tied me up and used some toys on me, then took pictures and shared them with a mutual friend of ours. There wasn't really much talking it out or a consent agreement to it... it was just a very rushed this is what I wanna do gonna do it and overall wasn't that great.

What was your best bondage experience?

Putting my wife face down on the bed, binding her hands and feet so she couldn't move and teasing her without allowing her any pleasure, not even the pleasure of seeing me. The amount of trust required to allow someone to have complete control over you is extreme and it's all about care and love. My wife and I always discuss things before we try them, she always has the chance to end it (and I can veto anything I am not comfortable with).

What is the best advice you would give to someone just starting out with BDSM?

DO NOT EVER PERFORM ANYTHING WITHOUT CLEAR CONSENT AND A SAFE WORD. Seriously, it's too easy for it to go too far, too fast and people are not always comfortable saying stop if it's not discussed beforehand.
