I'm a retired engineer that loves to cook and try new recipes, play board games with friends, and read a book or two per week.
When did you first realize you were into bondage?
About 10 years ago when I discovered FetLife while trying to spice things up. I have always been up to trying new things, and have been curious about every aspect of kink.

I am a submissive at heart, but since I met my husband, I took on a primarily dominant role with him. We do switch or play with others sometimes just for fun, but I love being his Mistress most of the time.
Do you feel that your desire for bondage is more physical or emotional? (please elaborate)
It is definitely both. I feel like my need for kink is ingrained into me aand not something that can be separated from either the physical or emotional realm.
What does BDSM mean to you: is it a lifestyle, a diversion, or something else?
I feel like it is a really important and fun hobby that we regularly participate in. We don't live it 24/7 like some of our friends do, but we rarely go more than a week without it.
What do you feel is most important about the experience of bondage?
To get into sub or dom space, and feel those brain chemicals magically take over you. To feel thrilled and excited and sexually gratified, even if no sex was involved.
What is the best advice you would give to someone just starting out with BDSM?
Don't feel pressured to do anything you don't like, either as a top or bottom. Don't let anyone else define you. Don't be ashamed of any of your kinks, I guarantee you there are folks out there that would be happy to explore with you. See it as an opportunity to make your wildest dreams come true!
