Meet William

Please tell us a little bit about yourself – How would you describe your everyday vanilla life?

My everyday regular life consists of the same stuff as everyone else - wake up, go to work, & go home - except during my average day, I am usually thinking of different bondage scenarios and planning future sessions in my mind.

When did you first realize you were into bondage?

I first realized I was into bondage at a very young age, which was hard since there was no one to talk to about my desires. So I had to suppress them until I got older and technology had become more accessible to learn about what it really was to have this type of fetish.

How you best describe yourself and why? Your choices are: Dominant, Submissive, Switch or Fuzzy Rainbow Unicorn.

Growing up, I had always associated most with being a dominant and always played the role of one. But as I have become older, I realized I am more of a switch. I very much enjoy both sides and I am a strong believer that you can't be a true dominate until you've been a submissive at one point in your life.

Do you feel that your desire for bondage is more physical or emotional?

For me, I find bondage pretty even between emotional and physical. I love the physical part of it but there needs to be a strong emotional side from both the dominant and the submissive, as well as trust.

What does BDSM mean to you: is it a lifestyle, a diversion, or something else?

Honestly, BDSM is an obsession to me! It doesn't matter where I am or what I am doing, I somehow always find myself thinking about it and can never seem to keep my focus off it. I would however like to bring it more in to my everyday lifestyle but certain situations won't allow for that yet.

Were lovers accepting of your interest in bondage?

I have had many different lovers, but I have not been truly open with most of them, due to the fear of their reaction they may have. So I have always used more vanilla bondage to test the waters and judge their reactions before telling them about my true desires (which, so far, I haven't had the best reactions from yet). But I believe that's because I still haven't found the right partner yet to explore my fantasies with.

Please briefly describe your first bondage experience.

I have loved bondage since I was very young, but my first real bondage experience would have to be when I was about 12. I was too afraid to try anything or talk to anyone about it, so I decided to try self-bondage and see if that would quench my desire. But, as time went on and I got older, I found it wasn't enough. So I tried very vanilla bondage with girlfriends later on and fell in love with being the dominant.

What was your best bondage experience?

My best bondage experience has to be when I was 23. I had finally told my then-girlfriend everything about my fetish and how I wanted to live in a dominant/submissive relationship. That night, I pulled out some bondage items that I had secretly been hoarding; things like clear moving tape for a gag, white marine water resistant rope to restrain her, and a scarf for a blind fold. I was finally able to be myself and be a true dominant.

What is the most creative safe word you have ever used?

I have only used a few safe words, very basic in nature like Red, Purple; as time has gone on, I found myself using the word ‘Promise’, which was one of my past dog’s names.

What do you feel is most important about the experience of bondage?

I personally think the most important thing in bondage besides trust (which is a must) is communication, followed by honesty. You can't have a dominant/submissive relationship or any other real relationship without being able to communicate what you want and being honest with the person about what you want. Not everyone likes the same thing, so you need to be able to be honest about exactly what your fetishes are and the extent you wish to go with them, so that your partner can know what to expect and explore them with you.

What is the best advice you would give to someone just starting out with BDSM?

I think the best advice I could give to someone new to bondage is “be safe, and always be cautious of your partner’s limits and well-being”.

What is your favorite gear, toy or lingerie item from Sub-Shop.com and why?

My favorite piece of bondage from sub-shop.com has to be the vibrating wand. It is a must have for any relationship and is great for both male and female alike.

What is the one sensual fantasy you haven’t lived out yet that you are excited to try?

My biggest fantasy to live out would be to be in a full Dom/Sub relationship where one is the dominant and the other is submissive in every aspect of their lives, from the moment they wake up to the moment they go to bed. I would enjoy being either dominant or submissive in this scenario, but I would truly love to be the dominant of a true submissive slave.

What is Eskimo ice?

I'm gonna have to say it's just regular ice.

Is there anything else you would like to share with us such as advice, thoughts or more knock-knock jokes? We are all ears and ball gags.

Last piece of advice - always play safe, & tie your partner to the bed so they don't fall off!
