This play implicates one member of the relationship, usually the submissive, acting as an animal while the other participant takes on the dominant role of the owner or trainer. Probably the main attractive about it is how it reinforces the notion of “owner/dominant” relationship. The owner will determine when they eat, sleep, how they dress and the pet will follow its owner orders.

You can choose any animal you like, but the most common ones are puppies, horses, pigs, cats and even cows. The submissive can choose an animal they identify with; if they are playful, obedient and dependent, they may lean towards dog. If they are attracted to high training and being led around, an equine will probably be good. If they lean towards independent and are more aloof, maybe a cat fits them…If the submissive it’s not so sure about the animal, the dominant can choose for them instead. If you want to try it, you will obviously need some things. While it depends on the animal and what exactly you want to do, you can start with these basic items to give you some ideas: Bondage to restrict your pets movements, bowls for them to drink and eat, leads and leashes, carts (for pony play), litter box (if you don’t want your pet to use the toilet), and toys…No, I’m not talking about those toys exactly, I’m talking about toys for your kitty or dog to play with, like a ball (not to be confused with ball gag wink*). Besides, you pet will need to know how to act like the particular animal chosen, like how they meaw or whine and act in general; remember they will be a pet, thus unable to speak. You will also need to establish commands like stay and how to train your pet; especially if its something like pony play that it’s a very complex training. Discuss the terms and get a pet!
