How to Cross Dress

You may have heard the term before and been a bit intimidated, but crossdressing is nothing more than wearing clothes and accessories that are traditionally associated with your opposite sex. As usual, there is no right or wrong way to do it; the important thing will always be for you to enjoy it. You can grab the elements you like about it and incorporate them into your life/play, creating your own form of crossdressing.

So, if you are a guy interested in experiencing a little bit of the feminine side, look no more. Here are the ingredients for you to make your recipe, wink*.

The first thing you need to do is to have a model. “Woman”, as you may be aware, it’s a broad term wink*. This means you will have to choose a specific woman to emulate; ideally you will pick a woman that resembles your general body type (tall and long-limbed, petite and sturdy, etc) as it will be easier. Besides, this will help you keep in mind how you will dress, speak, look and act. After you have someone in mind, it’s time to get cracking wink*.  Given that women usually have wider hips, a bigger butt and breasts, you will have to transform your shape.

To take care of the breasts part, there are several options. If the clothes don’t require much cleavage, you can grab a bra and fill it with tissue paper or socks. On the other hand, if you will be showing cleavage or want something more realistic, a prosthetic breast form will be perfect for it. You can wear it inside your pretty bra or just attach it to your body. Just remember to keep the breast size proportioned with your body (of course, depending on your role model, sometimes this won’t be the case wink*).

A corset will be perfect to give you an hourglass shape and to create that feminine shape. You can also use waist cinching underwear to create those curves and add butt pads or padded panties to have something to grab on wink*. And since we are talking about grabbing, you will need to tuck the family jewels; you can do this with some tape and panty hose.

As for the clothes, it will be a good idea to take your measures for the garment to fit perfectly. Measure your waist at the narrowest part, your bust at the fullest part of the cups, your chest under your arms and above the cups, and the hips at the largest part of your butt and hips. If you are unsure about the size, remember it’s always better to go one size up instead of one size down. You can always adjust something that is too big, but it’s harder to do the opposite.

For the hair, there are millions of beautiful wigs out there. You can get one that adapts to the hair color, length and style of the woman you had in mind.

If you want to take it one step further, you can add make up to make the transformation more complete. Contouring will be the easiest way to achieve the look; higher cheekbones, a smaller nose, bigger lips and weak jawlines are usually more feminine. Through contouring you can make your features less masculine. Afterwards, you can apply lipstick, eyeliner, false eyelashes, mascara, blush and eye shadow. If you are not sure how to do any of these things, there are a million video tutorials out there that can guide you on how to do it, wink*.

As for the finishing touches, make sure to shave/wax any hair you feel makes you look more masculine. If you don’t want to get rid of it, you can always hide it. And also, eyebrows; if you want a convincing look, you want to sculpt those eyebrows.

You will also need to take care of your nails; if you don’t want to paint them it’s all right, but make sure they are in perfect form (treat yourself to a manicure!). And don’t forget about accessories like heels, earrings, necklaces and jewelry.

Finally, not everything its about the looks. How you act and conduct yourself will be of outmost importance. Choose what kind of woman do you want to be; is it outgoing, social, demanding and/or flirty? Or shy and polite? Focus on the personality traits you want to have. You can also speak a bit softer and higher, just don’t go overboard because it will not sound natural.

Also, an important part will be how you walk and conduct yourself. Women usually use their arms a lot and tend to sway their hips a bit more. They also tend to sit more gracefully and are more aware of their bodies. Remember, it does not have to be exaggerated, just get in touch with your feminine side wink*.
