Meet Mr. Prime

Please tell us a little bit about yourself – How would you describe your everyday vanilla life?

My every day life is pretty normal and routinely. I have a family and I work 9-5 as a Graphic Designer. I get up to go the gym before the normal world is even awake, I go to work, come home to be with my family, go to sleep, and repeat.

When did you first realize you were into bondage?

I was probably around 13 when I first started getting interested with people tied up. I'd see shows on TV where people were tied up (Like Buffy the Vampire Slayer, for example) and it intrigued me. "What did it feel like?” was a big thought I had. So I tried it on myself. With a pair of trick handcuffs, for easy release, and some duct tape, I tied myself up. That was all it took, I was in love with it. Through my teens and my twenties, I got more interested in bondage and learned more about it. Different positions (spread eagle, a hogtie, suspension, etc.), different types of gags (cleave, ball gags, bit gags, etc), Dominant vs Submissive, etc. The more I learned, the more I fell into it... and that was all she wrote.

How you best describe yourself and why? Your choices are: Dominant, Submissive, Switch or Fuzzy Rainbow Unicorn.

I would describe myself best as a Submissive, though there are times where I'm the Dominant; however, preferably I'm the Sub. I have a very strong and dominant personality. I'm overly friendly, I love to joke around, I'm loud and I talk... A LOT. I also like to be in control of my day and what's taking place at that time, I don't like letting someone else take the lead. When I'm in my Submissive role, I'm not allowed to talk, I'm usually tied down and I can't do much of anything to stop what's taking place. My control is gone, and I feel a release. I can't quite describe the exact feeling, but the best way to describe it is a bit nervous, mixed with a lot of excited and curiosity. To let someone else have total control over you and your body, there really is no other feeling like it.

Do you feel that your desire for bondage is more physical or emotional? (please elaborate)

I enjoy our bondage for the physical interaction, again, there's nothing like having someone else in total control of you. Bondage sex is a fantastic sensation; everything is amped to a whole new level. But, I do feel there is some emotional element to it as well. When you let someone that close to you personally, your connection grows stronger as they learn more about your body, and you learn more of your limits of where you're willing to let them take you. This bond, no pun intended, becomes unbreakable.

Were lovers accepting of your interest in bondage?

I've only had one lover in my life: my wife. We've been together since we were teenagers. I didn't tell her of my interest in bondage until we were in college. She found it a little weird, but never once judged me. After we were married, I suggested we give it a try. She reluctantly agreed, and came into with an open mind. She's still a little weirded out about trying new things, but her open mind has never wavered.

What was your best bondage experience?

The best I've had is when my Dom had me all "prepped" and to herself, bed corner to bed corner, blindfolded and a 2" ball gag for silence. It was the night we decided to give wax a try with a red bondage hot wax candle. It was stimulating night, both physically and intimately.

What do you feel is most important about the experience of bondage?

Trust is always important in bondage, but I feel the most important aspect is to have FUN! Without both of you having fun with what you're doing and enjoying yourselves, it's not worth doing.

What is your favorite gear, toy or lingerie item from sub-shop.com and why?

I LOVE the 2" balls gags. The 1 3/4" ones for me are ok, but a bit too small. The 2"ers ensure pure silence is provided.
